You stop noticing things when you’re around them constantly.
The pet hair.
The squeaky door.
The mess of papers on your desk.
You don’t see them anymore because your brain decides they aren’t worth noticing. Then a guest arrives. And everything becomes visible.
It’s not because the room changed. It’s because your attention changed.
Likewise, a consistent habit simply becomes part of your life. You stop congratulating yourself for going on a walk, doing a task, and putting in the work. That’s good news.
We don’t need a new life. Sometimes we simply need fresh eyes to see the one we already have.
Every once and a while, look at your life through guest eyes. What would they notice? What’s bad? What’s good?
